COMPOSITION AND INGREDIENTS
water, sunflower oil, coconut oil, palm oil (RSPO), olive oil, zinc oxide, fragrance, mineral colorant mica
Sunflower oil
is obtained from the seeds of the annual sunflower plant and contains oleic and linoleic acid, proteins, triglycerides, sterols, vitamins A, D, E, and lecithin. Its composition is very similar to the lipids in our skin tissue. Quickly absorbs and penetrates even into the deeper layers of the skin.
Effects and Uses
Sunflower oil has soothing, softening, smoothing, antioxidant, and anti-inflammatory effects.
Protects the skin from loss of firmness and elasticity. It is suitable for all skin types, including mature and inflammatory. At Almara Soap, we use two types of sunflower oil. One has a high content of oleic acid, thus it is fancy in all our soaps, providing them with gentle bubbles and ensuring a velvety foam, and in body cosmetics. The second type has a high content of linoleic acid, making it more suitable for oily skin. That is why we add it to soaps intended for oily skin.Coconut Oil
It is obtained from the fruits (nuts) of the coconut palm, has a clear and very light consistency, which turns white and solid at temperatures around 20°C. Easily absorbed and does not leave a significant greasy feeling. It is rich in proteins, fats, fatty acids, and antioxidants.
Effects and Uses
Coconut oil has antiseptic, antimicrobial, antioxidant, strengthening, and firming effects. Perfectly suited for body and hair care. It is suitable for skin with fresh wounds and scars, as it tightens and aids in their healing. On the contrary, it is not suitable for very oily skin, where it may cause clogged pores.
For coconut oil, it is essential to distinguish the quality (form), which has a significant impact on its functionality. While coconut fat is suitable for cooking or soap making, where it provides the function of bubble formation, hardness, and especially cleansing effects, virgin coconut oil is then suitable for direct care of skin and hair.
Olive Oil
It is obtained by pressing the fruits of the olive tree, which are rich in vitamins A, E, and K, omega-3 fatty acids, and oleic acid. The oil pressed from them has a light consistency, is quickly absorbed, and provides strong moisturization. It is one of the most commonly used oils in cosmetics.
Effects and Uses
Olive oil has antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties.
Increases skin elasticity and strengthens tissue, soothes and heals eczema-prone skin and acne. We love using olive oil in soaps, balms, and facial oils. In its saponified form, it then becomes part of the base of our soaps, ensuring a smooth and gentle lather.Suitable for dry, sensitive, children's, flaky, mature, irritated, and problematic skin. It is not very suitable for very oily skin, as it may cause pore clogging.
Usage: Lather the soap in wet hands and apply the foam to the skin.
