Each time you use it, leave the candle lit until the wax has spread over the entire surface of the candle and up the sides of the bowl. This will ensure the even fading of the candle and the release of fragrance blends. Keep the fabric wick of the scented candle to a maximum length of 5 mm. An unnecessarily long wick produces smoke when burning and the flame on such a wick can be dangerously too large. If the candle smokes or the flame increases after lighting, extinguish the candle and trim the wick. Burning a long wick can cause the glass to become sooty. Wipe the soiled edges and trim the wick. Do not use the candle again if there is less than 1 cm of wax in it. The candle should not burn for more than 3-4 hours. Place the lit candle on a firm, flat, non-flammable surface and away from flammable objects. Keep out of reach of children and pets. Be careful when handling a lit candle, the bowl can be very hot (do not carry it). Never leave a candle burning unattended! Keep sufficient distance between the burning candles. Use candles in a well-ventilated room, but never in a draughty room.
