Spring aromatherapy

Spring is a magical season. More and more sunshine is gradually reaching us, the air is filled with the beautiful scent of awakening nature and we look forward to seeing everything bloom. But sometimes with spring can come tiredness or a bad mood. And it's not just essential oils that can help.
Aromatherapy for everyone
Aromatherapy is a part of natural medicine that harnesses the power of concentrated essential oils. These are isolated from different parts of plants - flowers, bark, stems, leaves, roots or other plant parts. Plant essential oils are also referred to as essential oils, essential oils or aromatic oils. What makes them special, you ask? They can influence bodily functions and affect emotions. They can be inhaled, added to massage oils and creams, and some are taken internally. Essential oils are volatile in nature and have a specific scent that has a beneficial effect on us. They are highly concentrated and should not come into contact with the skin if undiluted, as they can cause an allergic reaction.
Spring is here
Spring is the ideal time to support the cleansing and renewal processes in the body. It only takes a few days to feel full of joy and zest for life. But detoxing can often also cause irritation or nervousness. So take it slowly. Make yourself happy, go for a walk in the verdant countryside and start exercising. Gradually add not only more complex exercises, but also make the exercise longer. Concentrate on healthy foods, vegetables and fruit. It is recommended to stop drinking coffee or alcohol for a while. And, on the contrary, increase drinking pure water or herbal teas. The length of detoxification is up to you. At least a month is recommended. For me, I would still recommend avoiding extremes like not eating at all or drinking only juices or teas.
Spring essential oils
Fatigue, sadness, fear, nervousness. These feelings are familiar to many of us, and sometimes they catch us off guard. Essential oils have a great power over us - they can improve our mood, cheer us up and even bring back memories. Scents are associated with events and when we smell them again, we can start to smile. Juicy citrus scents like bergamot, orange, mandarin, lime or your favourite lemon can bring joy and contentment. For essential oils, it's a good idea to get a ceramic plate, diffuser or aroma lamp to scent your space. For tension or frustration, lavender or chamomile will help. Inhaling them can improve self-control and avoid unpleasantness in relationships. Bergamot, cedar, rose, neroli or lemon balm can also ease tension.
Essential oils in times of cold
The flu or cold usually strikes in winter and spring. At a time when our immunity is weakened and the vagaries of the weather take us by unpleasant surprise, it is the ideal time to use essential oils. When breathing heavier, it's nice to scent the room with essential oils like eucalyptus, thyme, mint and pine. Their power lies, among other things, in the fact that they disinfect the air, which is especially useful for household members near the sick person. An aromatic bath to which you add 3 to 10 drops of eucalyptus, tea tree, sage, ginger or thyme oil can also help warm the body. It is important to know, however, that these few drops of essential oil must first be mixed in milk or vegetable oil and then added to the bath. Afterwards, treat yourself to a cup of hot ginger or sage tea and hurrah under the duvet. You can rub your chest and neck with a mixture of almond oil (or another vegetable oil - sunflower, apricot, etc.) and essential oil of thyme or aniseed. The ratio of vegetable oil to essential oil should be approximately 30 drops of essential oil per 100 ml of vegetable oil. In our experience, it is a good idea to start at half the dosage and add more if necessary. Be careful with strong and warming oils, there the dosage should always be lower.
There are many uses for essential oils. I would like to prepare more articles about essential oils, because aromatherapy is suitable for every season :-) Great natural BIO essential oils are produced by the Greek brand of natural cosmetics Myrro.
