The carrier for retinol in the serum from Kvitek is olive squalane. It itself helps to restore the skin's protective film, protects it from loss of hydration, is easily absorbed and is very stable against oxidation. It stimulates skin cell renewal and is hypoallergenic, making it a great choice for people with sensitive skin and a tendency to allergies. Unlike olive oil, olive squalane is not comedogenic and does not cause clogging of the pores. Therefore, it is a super carrier for retinol and is also suitable for sensitive and problematic skin.

Use

For a cleansed, toned and dry (!) Apply 2-3 drops of the serum to the skin and massage into the skin. Use on the face, neck, décolleté or lip area. After absorption, always apply a face cream according to your skin type. Use in the evening. Start with using 1-2 times a week, after 2-3 weeks you can gradually increase the frequency and concentration.
Mild irritation, a feeling of drier skin or peeling of "old" skin is normal, but if it persists for a long time, reduce the concentration/frequency of use or stop using the serum altogether.

Important notice

It is recommended to use SPF protection during the day while using this serum (but also in general).
Not suitable during pregnancy and lactation. Retinol may increase skin sensitivity to sunlight - limit skin exposure to sunlight immediately after application and use appropriate protection. Do not combine with other exfoliating products and products containing retinol or other forms of vitamin A. If irritation occurs, stop using the product immediately.

Never start with the highest concentration. Otherwise, you're asking for a nasty reaction. The skin has to get used to retinol first, and this can take up to 3 months.

If you use retinol only intermittently, you'll irritate your skin unnecessarily and you'll never get to the stage where retinol starts to deliver the results you want.

Storage
