The first time you light the candle, and every time you light it again, let it burn until the melted wax reaches the edge of the glass. This ensures even burning of the candle. Trim the wick to 1/4 before lighting. If the wick is not trimmed, the flame may become too large and the wick may produce smoke - burning a candle in these circumstances can be dangerous and also damages the quality of the candle, trim the wick and relight the candle. Be careful when moving a burning candle - the outer wrapper may be hot. Keep the burning candle out of reach of children and pets. Never leave a burning candle unattended!
