How does it work? The Coravin needle penetrates the cork without significant damage. When pouring the wine, argon gas flows in the opposite direction, which prevents oxygen from entering the bottle, coming into contact with the wine and thus gradually deteriorating the contents. Every glass is then perfect, even months or years after the bottle has been opened. After the needle is withdrawn, the cork closes spontaneously.
