The facial mask consists of a water and oil phase, which are combined with a plant-based olive emulsifier and supplemented with active ingredients targeting specific issues.

As the main active ingredient in Kvitok, they boldly chose a specific neuroactive component TiMOOD™, which stimulates the connection between the skin and the brain and supports emotional well-being. This is the latest trend in the cosmetic industry aimed at combating skin damage caused by stress. Stress triggers various changes in our body that can lead to imperfections on our skin externally (tired appearance, dull skin, but also acne, eczema, or psoriasis, which stress exacerbates). In stressful situations, hormones (endocrine system) are released due to the activity of our brain, triggering a range of physiological reactions, including effects on the skin. In addition to this indirect connection between the brain and the skin, there is also a direct connection through nerve cells (nervous system). Our skin contains a number of sensory neurons, and thus the skin functions as a sensor that informs us about changes in pressure or temperature in the environment. In response to negative stimuli, dopamine (the happiness hormone) may be released - it also plays a role in the skin's healing processes.

Neurocosmetics refer to a group of cosmetic products that, upon application to the skin, affect the peripheral nervous system or small nerve endings in the skin. Such products soothe itching or are designed to reduce wrinkles and expression lines. This term is mostly used in connection with products that have a positive effect and improve mood with their scent, texture, or colors, such as perfumes or decorative cosmetics.

The extract from Himalayan Timut pepper (which you may already know from the dietary supplement Brain Food) has found application not only in foods and dietary supplements aimed at improving brain functions but also in cosmetics, where it supports a healthy and homogeneous appearance of the skin and improves the function of neurons in the skin.

Protects skin innervation and increases dopamine release.

A clinical study demonstrated that TiMOOD™ applied to the facial area for 28 days (2× daily) significantly improves emotional well-being in stressed volunteers (measured by the EmoCompass® device) - the application of this test is a novelty in the field of neuroscience. At the same time, during the application, there was a significant improvement in skin tone evenness, and a reduction in redness, leading to visibly healthier and fresher skin.

Pinolumin™ is a concentrated extract from the bark of Swiss pine, which soothes sensitive skin, reduces local redness, and alleviates color irregularities caused by inflammation, leading to a significant improvement in the overall homogeneity of skin tone. Clinical studies have shown that it can effectively suppress neuroinflammation (inhibits the activation of TRPV1 receptors), has anti-inflammatory effects (inhibits the release of prostaglandins and interleukins = mediators of inflammation), and eliminates collagen degradation after skin exposure to UVA radiation (inhibits the release of MMP-1).

Visibly also reduces skin redness - results showed that after 28 days, redness decreased by 25% and after 56 days by 40%. The soothing effect on irritated skin was also monitored - both short-term and long-term, after shaving and also after exposure of the skin to SDS (sodium dodecyl sulfate - surfactant). The redness of the skin was measured with a chromometer, and then a product containing 2% active ingredient was applied to the reddened skin. The results showed that Aquacacteen was able to significantly reduce redness 1 hour after shaving and also demonstrated a long-lasting soothing effect and faster skin recovery after exposure to SDS compared to the placebo.

Aqueous phase:

Water is used in cosmetics as a carrier of active ingredients and constitutes the largest portion of the entire product. However, mostly only distilled or purified water is used. As is customary with our brand's products, we use only floral and herbal hydrosols containing the bioactive substances of the plants from which they are distilled. The water component of our products is therefore an active ingredient in itself with beneficial effects for our skin.

The base of the mask is organic lavender floral water - it tones the skin, restores its natural pH, provides nutrients, and enhances the effectiveness of other treatments. This organic floral water has antiseptic and regenerative properties and is an excellent tonic suitable for all skin types. Cleanses, refreshes, and softens the skin, helps fight wrinkles, soothes redness, sunburn, itching, or other irritations.

Oil Phase:

Oil derivatives, commonly used in cosmetics, have a single task: to prevent transepidermal water loss. They contain no bioactive components and have zero beneficial substances for the skin. We have replaced this part of the product with cold-pressed vegetable oils containing essential fatty acids, which have truly beneficial effects on our skin. Therefore, the high oil content is extremely important to us. Oils and butters nourish and protect the skin from transepidermal water loss, thereby supporting the maintenance of the skin's natural hydration.

Shea butter excellently regenerates and rejuvenates the skin and is particularly suitable for sensitive and dry skin. Softens rough skin on feet and elbows, helps prevent stretch marks (suitable during pregnancy), evens skin tone. It also helps reduce wrinkles and dark spots on the skin. In winter, it helps keep lips, hands, and face hydrated.

Plum oil is obtained from plum kernels by cold pressing. It is unrefined, so it retains a very pleasant almond-marzipan scent, which it also imparts to the cream. It is rich in antioxidants that protect the skin from free radicals, as well as oleic and linoleic acid, making it suitable for treating dry, sensitive, and dehydrated skin. Supports skin regeneration, prevents it from drying out, and keeps it soft and smooth, thereby preventing the formation of wrinkles.

Rosehip oil is well known not only for its anti-aging effects, but due to its high retinol content, it is an effective aid in skin regeneration, scar care, and in the prevention and treatment of stretch marks.

Sunflower oil - is high in oleic acid, vitamin E, antioxidants, or linoleic acid, which enhances cell renewal, protects the skin from free radicals and external environmental influences such as UV radiation or pollution.

Other active ingredients:

Soy lecithin, which is non-genetically modified, has emollient properties, softens the skin, prevents it from drying out, and gives our creams a silky texture. The lipids that make up lecithin are very similar to the lipids found in the protective film that our skin naturally produces, making it suitable even for very sensitive skin.

Vitamin E supports skin healing, improves its elasticity, and thanks to its antioxidant effects, protects the skin from the negative impact of free radicals from the external environment.

Usage: Apply a thin layer of the mask to cleansed skin and leave it on for about 15-20 minutes.

Rinse it with lukewarm water and continue treatment with products according to skin type. Use 2-3 times a week. You can also use it as a night mask/overnight mask: At the end of your entire routine (after applying your face cream), apply a light layer of the mask, let it absorb, leave it on overnight, and continue with your regular morning routine in the morning.
