We chose the sponge based on simplicity, effectiveness, and responsibility. It is made from 100% natural cellulose, without plastic fibers or synthetic adhesives, is fully compostable, uncolored, and at the end of its life cycle, it returns to nature.

You can use it with Ponio dishwashing detergent or another cleaning agent – together they form a simple and effective combination.

Many common eco-friendly sponges have a two-layer construction – for example, a layer of cellulose + a layer of coconut fibers.

However, these products often use adhesives or other synthetic binders (e.g. recycled polyester or synthetic resins) to bond the layers, and it is these synthetic binders that mean they cannot be unreservedly composted.
Our sponge, on the other hand, contains no such compromises. We shaped it like a pebble – natural white color, irregular, to fit in the hand, easy to hold, and not unnecessarily burdening the environment.

Thanks to its cellulose structure, it has excellent absorbency, creates a rich lather, effectively cleans dishes, and dries quickly – helping to prevent odors and mold. Use it with your favorite soap or dishwashing liquid and simply throw it into the compost after use.

Usage: Moisten, apply a little dishwashing liquid or liquid detergent, and wash as usual. The sponge holds foam well, effectively cleans grease, and does not scratch surfaces. After use, rinse, wring out, and let it dry – this will extend its lifespan. If it starts to smell or is excessively worn, compost it and replace it with a new one.

Storage

It is best to store natural cosmetics in a cooler and dry place.

Do not expose it to direct sunlight or frost. Sunlight can degrade it or shorten its expiration date. At the same time, when using cosmetics, follow hygiene recommendations, such as using a cosmetic spatula to scoop products from jars, always closing products after use, and keeping the edges of bottles clean. Keep out of reach of children.

However, do not use even natural cosmetics on open wounds. This product is not intended to diagnose, prevent, or treat any disease. In case of eye contact, rinse for at least 15 minutes with lukewarm water from the inner corner to the outer corner. In case you wear contact lenses, remove them before rinsing. If irritation occurs, seek medical advice. Before the first use, it is recommended to perform the so-called patch test, i.e. apply and test the cosmetic product for its tolerance on a small area of the skin, preferably on the wrist, and wait 24 hours. This method can prevent the onset of allergic reactions and hypersensitivity to the given product. If an allergic reaction occurs after application, wash the skin surface with lukewarm water. Stop using the product immediately. If the allergic reaction persists for an extended period, seek medical assistance.
