The colour catches strongly, darker and redder. I'm happy with the shade after a month when it washes out to a nice red. The transition between colour and growth is not as hard as with paints with a higher % of peroxide. The color washes out naturally, but after a month in artificial light(bulb) it throws me a color more like brown. My hair gets oily faster and the color is a little drying. The advantage is that it doesn't smell, it doesn't sting my eyes, it goes on well and there's no need to air it out so much. Towards the end of the treatment period, my scalp was a bit stinging, but not burning. There aren't many moisturizers in the formula, so I'm not surprised. I found two drawbacks, the price and the gloves. they're made of good material, but they're awfully short at the wrist. Which I personally don't like. It's a shame that there isn't a shade a shade lighter. I'm going to use it until the chemistry is completely out of my hair so I can put henna in so I don't have spots. It's not purely natural, but it's definitely the lesser of two evils. On more damaged hair it may catch harder or wash out faster
