Kukui nut oil

Kukui nut oil is exceptionally light and absorbs well into the skin, while deeply hydrating it. Its secret lies in skin-friendly fatty acids and a high content of vitamins A and E. It is rich in linoleic and alpha-linolenic acid and contains only a small amount of oleic fatty acid. The skin is not oily, but soft and silky. Thanks to the balanced ratio of omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids and its natural antimicrobial properties, it is suitable for all skin types and can also help with eczema and acne.

Kukui is a tropical rainforest tree.

Its exact origin is not entirely known, as people carried it everywhere they settled. The oldest evidence of the use of this tree and its nuts dates back 13,000 years on the tropical islands of Southeast Asia.

Indigenous people prepared food from nuts by roasting and steaming them, but in Hawaii, the kukui tree also held exceptional spiritual and religious significance. In Hawaii, the healing properties of kukui nut oil were soon discovered and it was also used as part of religious rituals.

Macadamia Oil: a nourishing oil ideal for dry skin, mature, and sensitive skin. 

Kukui nut oil: a lightweight, fast-absorbing oil rich in omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids. Regenerates, soothes irritated skin.

Wax from the bark of the East Asian Lacquer tree: a plant wax similar to beeswax. I provide the balm with firmness and structure, softening and protecting the skin. 

Limnathes Alba Seed Oil or Meadowfoam Oil: a plant oil rich in antioxidants. Softens, protects, and helps lock in moisture in the skin.

Butter from Garcinia indica fruits (kokum butter): a plant-based butter rich in fatty acids.

Moisturizes, nourishes, improves elasticity, and does not clog pores.

Shea Butter: intensely nourishes, regenerates, and protects the skin.

Squalane: moisturizes, supports elasticity, and protects the skin.

Caprylic/Capric Triglycerides: a lightweight plant oil derived from coconut oil that softens the skin, leaves no greasy film, and helps retain moisture.

Dicaprylyl Carbonate: a lightweight, synthetic ester from plant oils. Provides the skin with a velvety feel, reduces greasiness, and improves serum absorption.

Sunflower oil: rich in vitamin E and essential fatty acids. 

Tocopherol: vitamin E, which protects the skin and also the balm itself from oxidation. Helps fight against free radicals.

Usage: Gently massage a small amount of balm into areas of the skin prone to dryness or fine lines.

The balm can be used as a nourishing all-purpose cream, an effective night cream, or to protect the skin from cold and wind. You can also use the balm as a nail conditioner, a brightening highlighter, or even on sunburned shoulders.

To get the most out of the balm, apply it after a shower or bath when the skin is still slightly damp.

In some of the balms, you may notice small, light crystals. These are natural fat crystals of shea or other plant butters. This is a completely normal phenomenon for 100% natural balms and does not affect their quality, functionality, or safety.

Storage

It is best to store natural cosmetics in a cooler and dry place.

Do not expose it to direct sunlight or frost. Sunlight can degrade it or shorten its expiration date. At the same time, when using cosmetics, follow hygiene recommendations, such as using a cosmetic spatula to scoop products from jars, always closing products after use, and keeping the edges of bottles clean. Keep out of reach of children.

However, do not use even natural cosmetics on open wounds. This product is not intended to diagnose, prevent, or treat any disease. In case of eye contact, rinse for at least 15 minutes with lukewarm water from the inner corner to the outer corner. In case you wear contact lenses, remove them before rinsing. If irritation occurs, seek medical advice. Before the first use, it is recommended to perform the so-called patch test, i.e. apply and test the cosmetic product for its tolerance on a small area of the skin, preferably on the wrist, and wait 24 hours. This method can prevent the onset of allergic reactions and hypersensitivity to the given product. If an allergic reaction occurs after application, wash the skin surface with lukewarm water. Stop using the product immediately. If the allergic reaction persists for an extended period, seek medical assistance.
